Oil leaking into the air system after stop
The oil stop valve shuts the oil supply to the element when the compressor stops. A worn valve lets oil flood the element and blow out through the intake.
Check valve leaking back
A worn check valve lets air and oil run back from the separator tank on stop, which can spin the element backwards.
Scheduled service
Seals, springs and pistons in these valves are wear parts. Renew them at the major service interval in the compressor instruction book.
Fitting tips
Stop, vent and cool the compressor before opening the valve. Clean the bore, fit every seal in the kit and check for leaks on the first start.
