Aftermarket 3D ceramic nozzle holder for BOCI (Bochu) laser cutting heads. Replaces BOCI DY.C.A0004AA, the small white ceramic with the M8 x 0.75 nozzle thread.
This is the slim ceramic used where the head works close to the part: 3D, bevel and tube cutting. It is 20 mm across and 28 mm high, with a three hole top face and a gold plated thread insert for M8 x 0.75 nozzles. Like every ceramic it insulates the nozzle for the capacitive height sensor and breaks first in a collision.
It fits BOCI heads with the M8 x 0.75 3D nozzle mount. Sold in packs of 1, 5 or 10.

After a head collision
A crash into a tipped up part usually breaks the ceramic first, which protects the rest of the head. A spare on the shelf gets the machine cutting again within minutes.
Height sensing faults
A cracked ceramic, a loose thread or a burned contact pin upsets the capacitive height control, so the head hunts, stops with a sensor alarm or touches the sheet. Replace the ceramic before chasing the sensor.
Nozzle will not centre or sit square
A worn or damaged thread in the ceramic lets the nozzle sit off centre, which shows as uneven cut quality in different directions.

Check the ceramic at every nozzle change and replace it when it is chipped, cracked, discoloured or loose.
