Caterpillar 176-1150 is the electronic unit injector: the grey body with the plunger spring, the white solenoid cap with the terminal pins and the nozzle with its sealing rings. It is used on Caterpillar 3406E and 3456 engines. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.
The same part is also sold as Caterpillar 191-3005 and Caterpillar 0R-9803.
Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my Caterpillar 176-1150?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Caterpillar 176-1150 with the same fitting.
How often should I replace the Caterpillar 176-1150?
Often 5,000 to 10,000 hours, but much less on poor or wet fuel. Injectors are usually changed when they fail a test, not by hours.
What are the signs the fuel injector needs replacing?
Black or white smoke, a misfire or knock on one cylinder, hard starting, higher fuel use, or a high return leak or balance rate on test.
How do I find the bad one?
Run a return leak test or read the injector balance rates with a diagnostic tool. On older mechanical engines, cracking each pipe in turn at idle shows which cylinder changes least.
What should I do before fitting it?
Clean the bore and seat of carbon, and keep the nozzle capped until it goes in. Torque the clamp to the engine manual, not by feel.
Is this a genuine Caterpillar 176-1150?
No. It is an aftermarket fuel injector made to replace the Caterpillar 176-1150. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
