CompAir A11516974 Aftermarket Air Intake Filter Element

CompAir A11516974 is the replacement air intake filter element, a pleated paper cartridge that stops dust and grit reaching the compressor airend. It is used on CompAir rotary screw compressors. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.

Scheduled replacement
The intake element is changed at every service, typically every 2,000 running hours, or sooner in dusty plants. Change it with the oil filter and check the separator at the same time.

High differential pressure warning
When the intake vacuum indicator or controller shows high air filter differential pressure, the element is loaded with dust and is starving the compressor of air, which costs output and raises energy use.

Protecting the airend
Grit that gets past a damaged or badly seated element wears the rotors and bearings and contaminates the oil. Replace an element with torn pleats or a cracked end cap straight away.

Fitting tips
Stop and isolate the compressor, wipe the housing out with a damp cloth (never blow it out with air into the intake), check the housing seal faces, and seat the new element squarely before closing the cover.
