Coolant dripping from the small hole under the pump means the shaft seal has failed. Replace the pump before the bearing goes.
Engine running hot
A pump with worn or loose impeller vanes moves less coolant and the engine runs hot under load. Check the thermostat and radiator first.
Bearing noise or pulley play
Noise from the front of the engine or a pulley that rocks means a worn bearing. Replace the pump and check the belt at the same time.
Fitting tips
Drain the coolant, clean the mounting face, fit the new seal or gasket, refill with the correct coolant mix and bleed the air out.
