Cummins 4046026 is the Holset HX55W type turbocharger with a wastegate actuator and boost hose, an aluminium compressor housing and a V band clamped turbine outlet. It is used on Cummins ISM, QSM11 and M11 engines. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.

Exhaust gas spins the turbine, which drives the compressor wheel on the same shaft and pushes more air into the engine. More air lets the engine burn more fuel cleanly, giving the rated power.
