Cummins 4048808 is the Holset HE221W type wastegated turbocharger with the actuator and boost hose fitted, a single entry four bolt exhaust inlet flange, an aluminium compressor housing and a V band clamped turbine housing. It is used on Komatsu PC200-8 (4D107 engine). This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.

Exhaust gas spins the turbine, which drives the compressor wheel on the same shaft and pushes more air into the engine. More air lets the engine burn more fuel cleanly, giving the rated power.
