Cummins 5288083 is the 28 volt alternator with a multi rib (poly V) pulley, red stator, aluminium drive end with two mounting ears and a black vented rear cover. It is used on Cummins 6BT5.9 engines. This aftermarket version has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.
