Use cases and applications
What it does
Exhaust gas spins the turbine, which drives the compressor wheel on the same shaft and pushes more air into the engine. More air lets the engine burn more fuel cleanly, giving the rated power.
Where it is used
Made for the Daewoo D1146 diesel engine in the DH300-5 excavator.

Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my Daewoo 65.09100-7087?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Daewoo 65.09100-7087 with the same fitting.
How often should I replace the Daewoo 65.09100-7087?
Often as long as the engine, 8,000 hours or more, when the oil and air filters are kept on schedule. Most turbos fail early from oil or dirt problems, not age.
What are the signs the turbocharger needs replacing?
Blue or black smoke, a whistle or siren noise, loss of power, oil in the intake or exhaust, or the shaft rubbing the housing.
What should I do before the first start?
Pour clean engine oil into the oil inlet and turn the shaft by hand, then crank the engine with the fuel cut until oil pressure shows. Let it idle for a minute before load.
Is shaft play normal?
A little radial play is normal on journal bearing turbos. Wheels touching the housing, or any noticeable end float, are not.
Is this a genuine Daewoo 65.09100-7087?
No. It is an aftermarket turbocharger made to replace the Daewoo 65.09100-7087. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
