Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my Denso 095000-0240?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Denso 095000-0240 with the same fitting.
How often should I replace the Denso 095000-0240?
Often 5,000 to 10,000 hours, but much less on poor or wet fuel. Injectors are usually changed when they fail a test, not by hours.
What are the signs the fuel injector needs replacing?
Black or white smoke, a misfire or knock on one cylinder, hard starting, higher fuel use, or a high return leak or balance rate on test.
What should I do before fitting it?
Clean the bore and seat of carbon, and keep the nozzle capped until it goes in. Torque the clamp to the engine manual, not by feel.
How do I find the bad one?
Run a return leak test or read the injector balance rates with a diagnostic tool. On older mechanical engines, cracking each pipe in turn at idle shows which cylinder changes least.
Is this a genuine Denso 095000-0240?
No. It is an aftermarket fuel injector made to replace the Denso 095000-0240. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
