Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my John Deere 4045 4.5 litre?
Yes, it was made for the John Deere 4045 4.5 litre, and 2 more listed under compatible equipment. Check the old fuel injector is marked 295050-0860 or one of the cross references, because makers change parts between serial ranges.
How often should I replace the fuel injector on my John Deere 4045 4.5 litre?
On the John Deere 4045 4.5 litre, often 5,000 to 10,000 hours, but much less on poor or wet fuel. Injectors are usually changed when they fail a test, not by hours.
What are the signs the fuel injector needs replacing?
Black or white smoke, a misfire or knock on one cylinder, hard starting, higher fuel use, or a high return leak or balance rate on test.
Do I need new sealing washers?
Always. Fit a new copper washer and O-rings under every injector you remove. A reused washer leaks combustion gas and carbon packs the bore.
What should I do before fitting it?
Clean the bore and seat of carbon, and keep the nozzle capped until it goes in. Torque the clamp to the engine manual, not by feel.
Is this a genuine Denso 295050-0860?
No. It is an aftermarket fuel injector made to replace the Denso 295050-0860. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
