An electronic timer drain for the condensate that collects in compressor receivers, dryers, separators and filter bowls. A brass solenoid valve opens for a set time at a set interval and blows the water out, so it never builds up and gets carried into the air lines or soaked into new filter elements.
The timer has two dials: open time from 0.5 to 10 seconds and interval from 0.5 to 45 minutes. A TEST button opens the valve on demand, and the brass strainer body with a manual ball valve lets you isolate and clean it without draining the tank. 1/2 in BSP male inlet, 220 to 230 V AC coil, rated to 16 bar.

Fit it at the lowest point of the tank or bowl so all the condensate reaches it.
Applications & use cases
Replacing a failed float drain
Float drains stick with oil and rust and let water past. A timer drain has no float to stick and opens on schedule whatever the condition of the condensate.
Air receivers
A tank that is never drained fills with water, loses capacity and rusts from the inside. Set the interval to suit the duty: a few seconds every 10 to 20 minutes is typical for a workshop receiver.
Protecting new filter elements
Water carried past a full bowl soaks coalescing and particulate elements and shortens their life. Draining the separator ahead of the filters keeps them dry.
Dryers and aftercoolers
Refrigerated dryers separate a lot of water. A timer drain on the dryer outlet trap keeps it from flooding back into the air.

Frequently asked questions
What voltage is it?
This valve has a 220 to 230 V AC coil. It is not suitable for a 110 V or 24 V supply.
How do I set the timer?
Start with about 2 seconds open every 10 minutes and adjust: if water still collects, shorten the interval; if the valve blows air for most of the open time, shorten the open time.
What thread is the inlet?
1/2 in BSP male (G1/2). Use an adaptor for a 1/2 in NPT port.
Can I test it?
Yes. Press the TEST button to open the valve on demand and check that water and air discharge.
