John Deere AUC10298 is the right angle mower deck gearbox: a black cast iron case with the splined input shaft, the vertical output shaft and the alloy mounting plate underneath. It is used on John Deere X700 series and 1 and 2 series tractors. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.
