Compressor will not load or unload
The solenoid valve switches control air to the inlet valve. A burned coil or a stuck plunger leaves the compressor stuck loaded or unloaded. Check for voltage at the coil plug first.
Air leaking from the exhaust port
Constant air from the valve exhaust means a worn seat or dirt under the plunger. A new valve stops the leak and the wasted air.
Burned or open coil
A coil that reads open or short on a meter, or smells burned, needs replacing. Check that the supply voltage matches the coil.
Fitting tips
Isolate power and vent the compressor first. Mark the ports and wires before removing the old valve, use new O-rings or thread sealant on the connections, and check for leaks under load.
