Aftermarket protective window for Precitec welding, cladding and cutting heads. Replaces Precitec P0251-1419-00001, protective glass OG Y D50 d2 1064.
It is the process side window for the YW50 and YW52 welding heads, the YC52 cladding head and the YK52 cutting head. Welding and cladding throw a lot of spatter at this glass, so it is changed often.
D50 x 2 mm fused silica, anti reflection coated on both faces for 1064 nm. Sold in packs of 1, 5 or 10.

Routine window changes
The protective window is the most frequently replaced optic in a cutting head. Change it at the first sign of spatter, pitting or a burn mark. A contaminated window absorbs laser power, heats up and can crack.
Protecting the focusing lens
The window sits between the focusing lens and the cut. Keeping it clean protects a lens that costs many times more and keeps the focal spot and cut width consistent.

If piercing slows, the kerf widens or the machine needs more power for the same plate, inspect the window before changing parameters. A dirty window is the most common cause.
