SPM-HEP-3025 is the engine oil pressure sensor (switch type, with integral connector). It is used on Komatsu -8 series excavators and D51-22 dozers. It replaces Komatsu 6744-81-4010 and Cummins 4076930. This aftermarket part has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.

A failed oil pressure sensor or switch can give a false low pressure warning. Always check the real oil pressure with a gauge before assuming the sensor is at fault.

A switch that has failed closed or open can hide a real low pressure problem; replace a doubtful one.

Oil weeping from the body or a corroded plug are reasons to replace it.
