SPM-HEP-3063 is the wiper motor (motor and gearbox with mounting flange, wiper shaft and a flying lead with connector). It is used on Komatsu -3 series excavators. It replaces Komatsu 205-06-71410 and Komatsu 203-06-41720. This aftermarket part has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.

Wipers stop or run slowly
When the wipers stop, run slowly or only work on one speed, check the fuse, the wiper switch and the relay first. If power reaches the motor plug and the wipers still do not move, the motor has failed.
Wipers will not park
The park switch inside the motor stops the blades at the edge of the glass. A worn park switch leaves the wipers stopping mid screen or running on after the switch is turned off.
Noisy or stalling motor
Worn gears and brushes make the motor grind, stall on a dry screen or blow fuses. A new motor brings back full speed and a clean sweep.
Fitting tips
Disconnect the battery, mark the position of the wiper arm on its shaft, unplug the motor and remove its mounting bolts. Fit the new motor in the same position, run it once to the park position and then refit the arm so the blade parks where it did before.
