SPM-HEP-4577 is the TD04HL turbocharger: a wastegated unit with the actuator and its boost hose, a cast iron turbine housing and an aluminium compressor housing. It is used on Kubota V3800 engines. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.
It replaces Kubota 1G574-17013, Kubota 1J501-17013 and Kubota 49389-03030.
Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Use cases and applications
What it does
Exhaust gas spins the turbine, which drives the compressor wheel on the same shaft and pushes more air into the engine. More air lets the engine burn more fuel cleanly, giving the rated power.
Where it is used
Made for the Kubota V3800 engines.

Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my Kubota 1G574-17013?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Kubota 1G574-17013 with the same fitting.
How often should I replace the Kubota 1G574-17013?
Often as long as the engine, 8,000 hours or more, when the oil and air filters are kept on schedule. Most turbos fail early from oil or dirt problems, not age.
What are the signs the turbocharger needs replacing?
Blue or black smoke, a whistle or siren noise, loss of power, oil in the intake or exhaust, or the shaft rubbing the housing.
Why did the old turbo fail?
Most failures come from oil starvation, dirty oil, or something passing through the wheels. Find the cause first: a blocked oil feed or dirty air path will kill the new turbocharger too.
What should I do before the first start?
Pour clean engine oil into the oil inlet and turn the shaft by hand, then crank the engine with the fuel cut until oil pressure shows. Let it idle for a minute before load.
Is this a genuine Kubota 1G574-17013?
No. It is an aftermarket turbocharger made to replace the Kubota 1G574-17013. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
