SPM-HEP-4760 is the 10PA17C type swash plate air conditioning compressor with an 8 groove poly V clutch pulley, rear mounted suction and discharge ports and a 12 V clutch coil lead. It is used on John Deere tractors using compressor RE46609. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.

It replaces Denso 447200-5964, Denso RE46609 and Denso RE54254.

Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Applications & use cases

Cab not cooling
When the cab blows warm with a full refrigerant charge and a working fan, a worn compressor that no longer builds pressure is a common cause.

Clutch slipping or not engaging
A clutch that will not pull in, or slips and squeals under load, stops the compressor turning. Check the coil feed first, then the compressor.

Noise or seizure
Knocking, grinding or a locked shaft means internal failure. Replace the compressor and flush the system so debris does not reach the new one.

Fitting tips
Fit a new receiver drier and expansion valve, flush the condenser and lines, add the correct grade and amount of PAG oil, then evacuate and recharge with R134a to the machine's specification.

Frequently asked questions

Will it replace my Denso 447200-5964?

Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Denso 447200-5964 with the same fitting.

How often should I replace the Denso 447200-5964?

It depends on hours and working conditions. Follow the machine service schedule, and change it when it shows wear rather than waiting for it to fail.

What are the signs the a/c compressor needs replacing?

Leaks, noise, loss of performance, or visible wear compared with a new part. If in doubt, measure it against the sizes in the specifications.

Should I keep the old part?

Keep it until the new one is fitted and running. It is the quickest way to compare sizes, connectors and mounting if anything looks different.

How do I check it is the right part?

Match the part number on the old a/c compressor to Denso 447200-5964 or a number in the cross reference table. If the number is worn off, compare the sizes in the specifications.

Is this a genuine Denso 447200-5964?

No. It is an aftermarket a/c compressor made to replace the Denso 447200-5964. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
