Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my Isuzu 4HK1 diesel engine?

Yes, it was made for the Isuzu 4HK1 diesel engine. Check the old fuel injector is marked 095000-5353 or one of the cross references, because makers change parts between serial ranges.

How often should I replace the fuel injector on my Isuzu 4HK1 diesel engine?

On the Isuzu 4HK1 diesel engine, often 5,000 to 10,000 hours, but much less on poor or wet fuel. Injectors are usually changed when they fail a test, not by hours.

What are the signs the fuel injector needs replacing?

Black or white smoke, a misfire or knock on one cylinder, hard starting, higher fuel use, or a high return leak or balance rate on test.

Should I replace all of them at once?

Not always. If the others pass a return leak or balance test, one can be changed. Where they are all high hours, a full set keeps the cylinders even.

Does it need coding to the engine?

Most common rail injectors carry a trim code (QR or IMA) printed on the body. Enter it with a diagnostic tool after fitting, or the engine runs rough and smokes.

Is this a genuine Denso 095000-5353?

No. It is an aftermarket fuel injector made to replace the Denso 095000-5353. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
