SPM-HEP-5126 is the 24 V pull type fuel shutdown solenoid: a gold zinc plated coil body with a label reading SA-3765-24, a black rubber boot over the plunger, a threaded rod end with a lock nut, a bent steel mounting bracket and two screw terminals marked POS and NEG. It is used on Cummins engines with the SA-3765 solenoid. This aftermarket version has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.
It replaces Woodward SA-3765-24 and Woodward RSV1751.
Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Applications & use cases
Engine will not start or will not stop
A failed fuel shutoff solenoid holds the fuel off (no start) or will not cut it (no stop). Check power at the plug first.
Engine cuts out
A weak pull-in or hold coil lets the solenoid drop out under vibration and the engine stalls.
Sticking plunger
Dirt and corrosion stop the plunger moving freely. Replacing the solenoid is quicker than freeing an old one.
Fleet spares
A spare solenoid on the van turns a no-start into a quick fix on site.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my Cummins?
Yes, it was made for the Cummins. Check the old solenoid is marked SA-3765-24 or one of the cross references, because makers change parts between serial ranges.
How often should I replace the solenoid on my Cummins?
On the Cummins, there is no fixed interval. It is changed when it fails, and many fail from water in the plug or chafed wiring rather than wear.
What are the signs the solenoid needs replacing?
A fault code for this circuit, readings that jump or stay fixed, or a part that does not respond with power at the plug.
How do I test the old part first?
Read the fault codes, then check the plug and wiring for corrosion or a broken wire. A wiring fault reads the same as a failed solenoid.
Does the voltage matter?
Yes. Many machines have 12 V and 24 V versions of the same solenoid. Check the old part or the machine plate before fitting.
Is this a genuine Woodward SA-3765-24?
No. It is an aftermarket solenoid made to replace the Woodward SA-3765-24. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
