Routine window changes
The protective window is the most frequently replaced optic in a cutting head. Change it at the first sign of spatter, pitting or a burn mark. A contaminated window absorbs laser power, heats up and can crack.
Protecting the focusing lens
The window sits between the focusing lens and the cut. Keeping it clean protects a lens that costs many times more and keeps the focal spot and cut width consistent.
Recovering lost cutting power
If piercing slows, the kerf widens or the machine needs more power for the same plate, inspect the window before changing parameters. A dirty window is the most common cause.
Stocking for every head in the shop
Single windows for an urgent change, 5 packs for a machine running one shift, 10 packs at the lowest price per piece for busy production lines.
