Caterpillar 132-7776 is the governor (throttle) motor: a black and aluminium housing with two push pull throttle cables in rubber boots and a six pin plug. It is used on Caterpillar E312B and E320B excavators. This aftermarket version has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.
The same part is also sold as Caterpillar 139-3917 and Caterpillar 119-0633.
Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Applications & use cases
Fault finding
Check the machine's fault codes and wiring first; when the part itself has failed, replace it with one made to the same fit.
Damaged or worn part
Parts on the platform and chassis take knocks, weather and heavy use. Replacing a worn part before it fails keeps the machine on hire.
Same fit as the original
Made to the same mounting and connector as the part it replaces, so it fits without changes to the machine.
Fleet spares
Keeping common parts for each machine type in stock turns a breakdown into a quick swap.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my Caterpillar E311B?
Yes, it was made for the Caterpillar E311B, and 2 more listed under compatible equipment. Check the old throttle motor is marked 132-7776 or one of the cross references, because makers change parts between serial ranges.
How often should I replace the throttle motor on my Caterpillar E311B?
On the Caterpillar E311B, there is no fixed interval. It is changed when it fails, and many fail from water in the plug or chafed wiring rather than wear.
What are the signs the throttle motor needs replacing?
A fault code for this circuit, readings that jump or stay fixed, or a part that does not respond with power at the plug.
How do I test the old part first?
Read the fault codes, then check the plug and wiring for corrosion or a broken wire. A wiring fault reads the same as a failed throttle motor.
Should I grease the connector?
A little dielectric grease keeps water out of the plug on machines that work outside. Make sure the terminals are clean and tight first.
Is this a genuine Caterpillar 132-7776?
No. It is an aftermarket throttle motor made to replace the Caterpillar 132-7776. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
