Mitsubishi R8T30173 is the engine start (safety) relay: a finned aluminium box on a two hole bracket with a short lead and a black plug. It is used on Kobelco SK200 and Kato HD820 excavators. This aftermarket version has the same mounting and electrical connector as the original, so it plugs in and bolts on where the old one came off.
