High Contaminant Load Environments
In applications where hydraulic fluid is exposed to high levels of particulate contamination, such as construction or mining equipment, the 90 µm wire mesh media effectively captures coarse particles. This helps prevent premature wear on pumps and valves, extending component life.
Continuous-Duty Industrial Machinery
For machinery that operates around the clock, such as injection moulding presses or hydraulic power units, the 20 bar collapse pressure ensures the element maintains structural integrity under sustained pressure spikes. This reduces the risk of bypass and keeps the system clean during long run cycles.
Inventory Consolidation for Multi-Brand Fleets
Fleet managers maintaining equipment with different original filter brands can standardise on this filter. Its cross-reference compatibility with seven major brands simplifies stock management and reduces the need to carry multiple filter variants.
Mobile Hydraulic Systems
On mobile plant equipment like forklifts or agricultural tractors, the compact dimensions (170.5 mm height, 47 mm OD) allow easy installation in tight spaces. The out-in flow direction suits typical spin-on or cartridge housings found in mobile applications.
Check your current filter's part number against the cross-referenced brands: Fai Filtri, Fleetguard-ST, Hy-Pro, Internormen, Mahle, Oxfil, or Stauff. Alternatively, measure your existing element: height 170.5 mm, outer diameter 47 mm, and inner diameter 25.5 mm.
This filter uses a 90 µm wire mesh media. Wire mesh is cleanable and offers high dirt-holding capacity for coarse filtration, ideal for protecting downstream components from large particles.
This filter is a replacement element, not a complete filter head. It fits housings designed for elements with 47 mm OD and 25.5 mm ID. Ensure your housing's thread or mounting configuration matches these dimensions; the element itself does not include threads.
No, this is an aftermarket replacement built to match OEM specifications. It is a direct replacement for the listed brands but is not sourced from the original equipment manufacturer.
Turn off the system and relieve pressure. Remove the housing cover, take out the old element, and clean the housing interior. Insert the new element ensuring it seats properly on the inner and outer seals. Reassemble the cover and check for leaks before restarting.
