Warning light or fault code
A failed pressure sensor gives a false low or high reading, a warning on the monitor or a fault code. Check the plug and wiring first, then swap the sensor.
Slow or weak hydraulics
The controller uses the pump pressure signal to manage pump output and engine load. A sensor that reads wrong can leave the machine slow, weak or stalling under load.
Corroded or damaged plug
Sensors on the pump and valve block take water, oil and pressure washing. A corroded connector or cracked body is a reason to replace it.
Fitting tips
Relieve the hydraulic pressure before removing the old sensor, fit a new O ring lightly oiled, tighten to the machine maker's torque and check for leaks.
