Check the type plate on the filter housing. This cartridge fits LFX-D-MIDI activated carbon filters and D series MIDI filter combinations with an LFX carbon stage. If your old cartridge is marked LFACP-MIDI or 532788, this is the replacement.
Yes. Activated carbon is meant for oil vapour, not liquid oil or particles, so it should always sit after a 0.01 µm micro filter. Without one the carbon saturates quickly.
