Burned focusing lens
Spatter that gets past a dirty protective lens burns the focusing lens. Weak penetration and a wide, uneven bead at normal settings are the signs.
Changing spot size
A longer focal length (F200 instead of F150 on SUP guns) gives a larger spot and more working distance, which suits wider seams and cleaning work.
Keeping spares
Lenses are cheap next to downtime. The 5 pack keeps a spare for every gun in the shop.
