Komatsu 702-21-55700 is the hydraulic pump control (pilot) solenoid valve: a three port valve block with the solenoid, a braided lead and a 2 pin connector. It is used on Komatsu -7 and -8 series excavators (PC160 to PC550). This aftermarket valve has the same ports, mounting and coil connector as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.

Function will not work
If a hydraulic function is dead but the pump and controls work, the solenoid cartridge or its coil is the usual suspect. Check for power at the plug first.
Drift or slow response
A worn cartridge that does not shift fully gives slow or weak movement, or lets the function creep.
Burned coil
A coil that reads open or short on a meter needs replacing; check the connector for water and corrosion first.
Fitting tips
Relieve the hydraulic pressure, clean around the valve before removing it, fit the new O rings lightly oiled and tighten to the specified torque.
