Applications & use cases

Low rail pressure codes
A common rail pressure relief valve that leaks returns fuel to tank and the ECU logs low rail pressure faults.

Hard starting and loss of power
When the valve opens early the rail cannot build pressure: long cranking, misfire and power loss under load.

Fuel in the return line
Heavy flow from the valve's return port with the engine running is a sign it has opened and stuck.

Matching the old valve
Match the number stamped on the old valve and use a new sealing washer when fitting.
