Applications & use cases
After a desiccant dryer
Desiccant beads wear and shed fine dust. A KD element after the dryer stops it reaching valves, cylinders and instruments.
Rising pressure drop
Particulate elements load up with dust over time. Change it when the differential pressure gauge reaches the red zone or once a year.
Dry air only
A KD element is not made to coalesce oil or water. Fit a KB or KE element where liquid is present.
Fitting tips
Isolate and vent the housing, fit the new element with its O ring and check the seal before repressurising.
