Applications & use cases
Oil or water carried into the air lines
A saturated coalescing element lets oil aerosol and water through to tools and valves. Change it when the differential pressure gauge reaches the red zone or once a year.
Pressure drop and energy cost
A blocked element raises the pressure drop across the filter, so the compressor works harder for the same air at the point of use.
Before a fine filter
A KB element ahead of a KE element of the same size takes most of the oil load and makes the KE element last longer.
Fitting tips
Isolate and vent the housing, unscrew the bowl, fit the new element with its new O ring, and check the float drain works before putting the line back under pressure.
