Quincy 2258290121 is the replacement G grade general purpose element for the Quincy size 380 in-line compressed air filter, the first filtration stage that takes out solid particles, pipe scale and bulk liquid before the finer coalescing element. It is used on Quincy size 380 in-line compressed air filter housings. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.
Sold as one unit. Check the number on your old part, or in the parts manual for your machine, before ordering.

Applications & use cases
High pressure drop across the filter
As the element loads with dirt, rust and pipe scale, the pressure drop rises and the compressor works harder for the same pressure at the tools. Change the element when the differential gauge reaches the red zone.
Protecting the coalescing stage
A G grade prefilter catches solids and bulk liquid ahead of the C grade coalescing element, so the finer element lasts its full service life instead of blocking early.
Scheduled replacement
General purpose elements are normally changed every 12 months or 8,000 hours, whichever comes first, or sooner on a dirty or wet air system.
Fitting tips
Isolate and vent the housing, check the drain is clear, fit the new element with a clean O ring, and check the bowl seal before pressurising.
