This valve sets the hydraulic pump output from the pump controller. A sticking or failed valve leaves the pump at the wrong output: the machine feels slow, bogs the engine, or lacks digging force.
Pump fault codes
A pump solenoid fault on the monitor, or a current reading outside its range, points at this valve or its wiring. Check the plug and harness before replacing it.
Coil test
Unplug the valve and measure the coil resistance. An open or shorted coil means the valve must be replaced.
Fitting tips
Relieve hydraulic pressure, clean around the valve before removing it, fit new O-rings lightly oiled, and torque the flange bolts evenly.
