SPM-WJP-2946 is the spring loaded shift actuator (signal rod) that tells the intensifier controller when the plunger reaches the end of its stroke so the pump changes direction. It is used on Flow 60K and 87K intensifier pumps. This aftermarket version is made to the same mounting and connections as the original, so it fits where the old one came off.
It replaces Flow B-8346-1 and AccuStream 1-12378.

Intensifier will not shift
If the intensifier stalls at one end of the stroke, or the controller shows a shift fault, the shift actuator is the first thing to check. A weak spring or worn rod stops the proximity switch seeing the plunger.
Short or uneven strokes
An actuator that sticks gives early or late shifts, uneven pressure and extra wear on the seals. Replace it when it no longer moves freely.
Pump rebuilds
Fit a new actuator when the hydraulic end is rebuilt, so the shift signal is as good as the new seals.
Fitting tips
Isolate power and hydraulic pressure first. Clean the bore, fit the actuator with its spring, check it moves freely by hand and set the proximity switch gap to the maker's figure.
