Aftermarket ceramic insulator cone for Bystronic laser cutting heads. Replaces Bystronic 4-01959.
The cone is the tapered ceramic sleeve that insulates the nozzle body from the head, so the capacitive height sensor reads only the gap between the nozzle and the sheet. A cracked cone shows up as height control faults or a nozzle that touches the sheet. It is used with the insulating rings 4-01642 (top) and 4-09010 (bottom).
Technical ceramic, tapered, 26 mm across the wide end. Sold in packs of 1, 5 or 10.

Applications & use cases
After a head collision
A crash bends or cracks the parts at the bottom of the head first. A spare on the shelf gets the machine cutting again within minutes.
Nozzle will not centre
A worn seat or thread lets the nozzle sit off centre, which shows as cut quality that changes with direction. Replace the worn part before re-centring.
Planned maintenance
Check the bottom of the head at every nozzle change and replace parts that are pitted, burred or loose.

Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my Bystronic 4-01959?
Yes, it is a direct replacement for the Bystronic 4-01959 with the same fitting.
How often should I replace the Bystronic 4-01959?
Laser and plasma nozzles wear in days to weeks, depending on hours of arc or beam time, material and gas. Change it on condition, not by date.
What are the signs the ceramic ring needs replacing?
An oval or nicked orifice, spatter stuck on the tip, more dross, a wider cut or bevel on one side, and height sensing errors.
How do I know it is worn?
Look at the orifice: if it is oval, nicked or has spatter stuck to it, the cut quality falls. Change it before it damages the parts behind it.
What should I do after changing it?
Centre the nozzle on the beam and recalibrate the height sensor. A new nozzle off centre cuts on one side only.
Is this a genuine Bystronic 4-01959?
No. It is an aftermarket ceramic ring made to replace the Bystronic 4-01959. It is not made by the original manufacturer; the number only shows what it replaces.
